A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Geostat and the Hungarian Central Statistical Office

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the National Statistics Office of Georgia and the Hungarian Central Statistical Office. 

 

The memorandum was signed by Mr. Gogita Todradze, Executive Director of Geostat, and Mr. Áron Kincses, the President of the Hungarian Central Statistical Office in New York, in the framework of the 57th session of the UN Statistical Commission.

 

Bilateral cooperation in the field of statistics includes experience sharing in various directions, such as the modernization of official statistics, statistical survey methodology; the development and application of classifications and statistical registers; metadata management and processing; business, demographic and social statistics; macroeconomic and environmental statistics; as well as statistical information systems and the integration of modern technologies in statistical production processes. Furthermore, the cooperation envisages the exchange of experience and best practices in advanced data analytics methodologies, including the application of artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques.

 

The document defines the strengthening of cooperation in the framework of the development of international and bilateral governmental programs and provides for the development and implementation of joint and coordinated initiatives and projects of mutual interest.

 

The Memorandum of Understanding between Geostat and the Hungarian Central Statistical Office will create new opportunities for the development of joint projects between the parties. The document will facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experience, the organization of study visits, expert missions, and training activities across various areas.
