The meeting of the Advisory Board was held in Geostat. The Advisory Board brings together 14 members, who represent academia, international organisations, the public sector, the business community, and independent experts.
During the meeting, the Executive Director of Geostat and the Chair of the Advisory Board, Mr. Gogita Todradze, presented to members an overview of the institution’s achievements over the past year, as well as updates on ongoing projects and planned activities.
Mr. Todradze also briefed the Board on the ongoing process of analysing the results of the 2024 Population and Agricultural Census. Particular emphasis was placed on the use of modern software solutions, which ensure the accuracy and reliability of the data. He noted that the final, detailed results are currently being processed and will be published in June 2026.
The Advisory Board of Geostat is a consultative body. Its functions include providing advice on statistical activities, reviewing draft of Statistical Work Programme and developing recommendations, analysing statistical standards and methodologies, preparing proposals for the Geostat Board, and holding consultations on the refinement and advancement of statistical methods, among other responsibilities.
