Ms. Ana Kvernadze is the Head of Policy Planning Unit at the Administration of the Government of Georgia. She is the SDGs country focal point. Her responsibilities include Government policy planning system analysis, coordination of SDGs nationalization process and institutional reforms, processing of data on country reforms and governmental initiatives. She has over 9 years of experience of work with issues of coordination, monitoring and evaluation.
Title of presentation: Progress on nationalisation on SDG in Georgia.
Ms. Anahit Safyan, PhD in Economics, she is currently a Member of the State Council on Statistics of RA, Responsible for International Statistical Cooperation and Quality Management. She started to work with Statistics Armenia in 1991, first, in the Industry Statistics Division, then in the Summary Work, Information and Analysis Division. She established the International Statistical Co-operation Division in 1994, and was a Head of Division until 2013. She also established the Quality Management Division in 2016.
Title of presentation: Experience of Armenia to establish national framework for reporting on SDG.
Ms. Elena Kukharevich – Deputy Chairperson of the National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Belarus. Her work record in statistics is over 30 years, of which 11 years in the current position. Elena Kukharevich supervises such statistical domains as the level and quality of living, labour market, social and gender statistics, domestic trade and price statistics as well as SDG monitoring.
She is a member of the National Council on Gender Statistics to the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus. She is also a member of the Sustainable Development Council and heads the SDG monitoring Team. In 2017, she joined the Inter-Agency and Expert Group on SDG Indicators (IAEG-SDGs). In her presentation, Ms Kukharevich will share the experience of organising and coordinating SDG monitoring in Belarus and will tell short-term plans and us about the work done.
Mr. Rauf Salimov is the Deputy Chair of the State Statistical Committee of the Azerbaijan and he will share the national progress on workflow on gender related SDG indicators.
