The first session of the newly elected board at the National Statistics Office of Georgia

On August 2 the Geostat Board with newly elected members was convened and held its first session. At the meeting the Board members discussed future strategies and action plans of Geostat. The Chairman of the Board introduced the priority issues, talked about existing challenges of the system and the ways of solvation. Moreover, Mr. Gogita Todradze introduced the new structure of the Geostat and presented them the list of the staff for approval.
The new Board the Geostat is comprised of the following members: Gogita Todradze – Chairman of the Board, who is at the same time the Executive Director of the Geostat, Archil Mestvirishvili – Vice-President of the National Bank of Georgia, Ekaterine Mikabadze – Deputy Minister of Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Pridon Aslanikashvili - Deputy Head of Department of Fiscal Forecasting of the Ministry of Finance, the board also comprises of three non-public officials –Marine MIndorashvili, Simon Gelashvili and Irakli Apkhaidze. One of the positions of the Board member is still vacant.
