National Statistics Office of Georgia continues the information meetings in the regions. After Kutaisi and Mtskheta, Mr. Gogita Todradze, Executive Director of Geostat held the meeting in Rustavi with Mr. Shota Rekhviashvili, State Representative-Governor in Kvemo Kartli, on February 21, 2020. The meeting was attended by the Mayors of seven municipalities of the region and the representatives of local government and Kvemo Kartli Statistical Bureau.
The goal of the meeting was to introduce the local government with the Geostat’s future and to identify their needs.
According to Mr. Gogita Todradze, Executive Director of Geostat, the use of regional statistical data will support local authorities to make the right decisions. Such information meetings are important and will ensure awareness of the statistical data users on the issues they are interested in.
Geostat plans to hold consultations with the local governments in all regions, including studying the requirements and needs at regional and municipal level, as well as to engage in active dialogue with the representatives of the local government.
