Geostat Hosts Missions of Danish Experts

Date: 29 June 2021

The National Statistics Office of Georgia continues cooperation with the Statistics Denmark within the framework of the EU Twinning project.

Through this project, Geostat hosted several missions of international experts last month.

The meetings were held online, with the aim of working on the methodology of national accounts and the compilation of metadata. As part of the mission, experts, together with Geostat representatives, reviewed the Gross National Income inventory document and the single integrated metadata structure (SIMS).

The implementation of the Twining project started in April 2019 by Geostat and the Statistics Denmark. The aim of the project is to further strengthen the capacity of Georgian statistics in terms of producing timely, internationally comparable and reliable data by Geostat.
