Geostat is involved in a new international project on agricultural statistics

Date: 8 April 2022

The National Statistics Office of Georgia participates in a new international project on agricultural statistics, known as the "50 X 2030 Initiative", implemented by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).

The new project aims to support the development of the agricultural sector, improve the quality of related statistical data and facilitate the production of baseline indicators for the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

In addition to the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the World Bank (WB) and the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) are participating in the project.

Within the framework of the project, Geostat plans to conduct a special survey. For the field work activities, Geostat has been provided with the necessary computer equipment and tablets.

Geostat will be involved in the "50X2030 Initiative" until 2025.
