Interagency Council Approved Geostat’s Implementation Report of the Action Plan for 2020 – 2021

On May 13, a meeting of the Interagency Council was held at Geostat, where Mr. Gogita Todradze, Executive Director of Geostat, presented the annual implementation report of the National Strategy for the Development of Official Statistics of Georgia (2020-2023) and its Action Plan for 2020-2021.

 

The Interagency Council has been functioning since 2019 by the Degree of the Government of Georgia. It is responsible for developing the National Strategy for the Development of Statistics of Georgia (2020-2023), developing the appropriate Action Plan, as well as approving its implementation report.

 

The Interagency Council is chaired by Executive Director of Geostat. It consists of twelve members including the Vice-President of the National Bank of Georgia, the Government of Georgia, and representatives of nine Ministries at the Deputy Ministers level.

 

Geostat’s Action Plan for 2022-2021, is prepared in accordance with the requirements of the Policy Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation guidelines. It consists of 3 goals, 12 tasks, and 86 activities. Mr. Gogita Todradze provided detailed information to the members of the Council on the activities, defined by each goal and task, indicating the responsible entities, date of implementation, and the budget.

 

The members of the Inter-Agency Council approved the Action Plan for 2022 – 2021 implementation report which will be available Geostat website for any interested user.
