The National Statistics Office of Georgia held a presentation of the children's portal - "Statistics for Kids and Teenagers" for Rustavi the second school students, on June 1, the International Day for the Protection of Children and organized the educational meeting at Geostat headquarter. The 7th and 8th grade students were attended at the meeting.
The portal "Statistics for Kids and Teenagers" is intended for different age groups and consists of two main parts. The first part - "Statistics for kids" - is intended for children aged 8 to 12 years, and the second part, "Statistics for Teenagers- for young people aged 13 to 19 years.
Mr. Gogita Todradze , the Executive Director introduced interesting information about the portal "Statistics for Kids and Teenagers" and filled different quizzes with them.
Especially, students liked the teen-oriented portal for young people aged 13 to 19. This part of portal provides interesting information about our country – Georgia. The young people also got acquainted with funny statistical facts.
The students also visited the statistical museum at Geostat’s headquarter, where the historical computer equipment’s, photo materials and century old devices are located.
The National Statistics Office of Georgia plans to hold the educational meetings for teenagers in future.
