Gogita Todradze Participated in a Panel discussion on Gender-Related Issues

Mr. Gogita Todradze, Executive Director of Geostat participated in the panel discussion on gender- related issues. The panel discussion was organized by the National Association of Local Authorities of Georgia, the UN Women and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.

 

The meeting was attended by the Mayors of municipalities, representatives from local government and self-government, legislative and executive authorities, as well as international and local organizations.

 

The primary objective of the meeting was to deliberate on the priorities and challenges concerning gender equality policies at the local level. It also aimed to advocate for the inclusion of municipalities to the European Charter for Equality of women and men in local life, and to facilitate the gender equality agenda at the local level.

 

During the meeting, Mr. Gogita Todradze presented the outcomes of the Time Use Survey conducted by Geostat. He briefed on the key findings of the survey and the current challenges, including the average time spent during the day and night by men and women on various activities, unpaid domestic work, employment activities, learning and related activities etc.
