The National Statistics Office of Georgia and Georgian Competition and Consumer Agency was signed the Memorandum of Understanding

The National Statistics Office of Georgia and Georgian Competition and Consumer Agency signed the Memorandum of Understanding. The agreement was signed by Mr. Gogita Todradze, Executive Director of the National Statistics Office of Georgia and the Chairman of the Georgian Competition and Consumer Agency Mr.Irakli Lekvinadze.

 

The aim of the memorandum is to strengthen cooperation in competition, in the process of anti-dumping and conducting the protection policy of users and to use statistical data efficiently within the scope of the law based on the principle of equality and mutual benefit. 

 

“Geostat will provide Georgian Competition and Consumer Agency with reliable, objective and detailed statistical information. Within the competence, the employees will be provided appropriate consultations regarding the usage, processing and any other related issues of statistical data. Geostat is committed to discuss challenges of Georgian Competition and Consumer Agency and provide the information in order to effectively implement its obligation:”– stated Mr. Gogita Todradze, Executive Director of Geostat. 

 

“Within the memorandum of understanding we are planning mutual evets and activities. We actively use Geostat information in our work and surveys. The data bases and portals of Geostat have a crucial role in the process of planning and implementation of country’s economic and business activities, ensuring accurate information to society. The Memorandum gives the opportunity to continue our collaboration with any other interested parties.”- stated the Chairman of the Georgian Competition and Consumer Agency Mr. Irakli Lekvinadze.

 

In the framework of the memorandum mutual meetings and events will be conducted, providing the interested parties with necessary  information.
