The Session of the Governmental Coordination Commission for Census

On April 8, the Government Coordination Commission of General Population and Agricultural Census of Georgia approved the updated draft of the population and agricultural census program.

 

The session of the commission was held at the Government of Georgia and chaired by Mr. Irakli Kobakhidze, the Prime Minister of Georgia. 

 

During the meeting, Mr. Gogita Todradze, Executive Director of the National Statistics Office of Georgia presented information about the Census methodology and questionnaires to the members of the commission.

 

The period from November 14 to December 19, 2024, has been designated as the date of the next General Population Census of Georgia.

 

In order to optimize the use financial and human resources, the Agricultural Census will be conducted together with the Population Census, an agricultural census will be conducted. Along with social and demographic data, information regarding agricultural activity of households will be collected through a relevant questionnaire. The preliminary results of the Census will be published in June 2025, and the final results in June 2026.
