Geostat Conducted Survey on Women's Reproductive Health and Early Marriage

Date: 14 July 2025

The National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat) has conducted a survey on women's reproductive health and early marriage. This initiative was supported by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), the Delegation of the European Union to Georgia, and the Government of Sweden.

Fieldwork for the survey was conducted between June and July 2024 and involved 4,500 women aged 15 to 49 residing in Georgia.

The survey gathered data on key issues, such as the harmful practice of child marriage and matters related to women’s reproductive health and rights. Based on the findings, indicators related to Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 5 (Gender Equality) and SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) were calculated.
