International experts from the International Labour Organization (ILO) conducted the mission to Georgia from September 1 to September 3. The purpose of the mission was to assess the scale and characteristics of the informal economy in Georgia, with a particular focus on employment statistics and national accounts data.
This assessment represents a key step toward fulfilling one of the major recommendations outlined in the European Economic Reform Programme (ERP).
As part of the mission, a meeting of the inter-agency working group established to develop a comprehensive programme for reducing the informal economy and relevant recommendations is also planned together with ILO experts.
