Mr. Gogita Todradze, Executive Director of the National Statistics Office of Georgia, held a meeting with a delegation from the National Statistics Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan and summarized a week of intensive working meetings. During September 8-12, Geostat staff shared their professional expertise and practical experience with their Uzbek colleagues. The visit facilitated the exchange of statistical knowledge and the best practice between two institutions , representing a significant step towards strengthening regional cooperation.
The discussions covered a wide range of issues, including modern survey methodologies, as well as established practices in data collection, processing, analysis, and dissemination. The visit reaffirmed Geostat’s readiness to actively contribute to the enhancement of statistical practices in the region and to further promote international collaboration.
