Mr. Gogita Todradze, Executive Director of the National Statistics Office of Georgia, met with Belen Sanz Luque, Regional Director of the UN Women Office for Europe and Central Asia. The meeting discussed steps to strengthen their strategic partnership in the field of gender data.
The meeting highlighted the long-standing cooperation and strategic partnership between Geostat and UN Women, which has been crucial in advancing the gender equality and women’s empowerment agenda in Georgia — by improving the availability and use of gender data.
Geostat and UN Women are joining efforts to produce high-quality gender data and to enhance its accessibility and usability. Reliable data serves as the foundation for evidence-based policymaking, enabling the identification of challenges, the measurement of progress, and the integration of a gender perspective across all areas — ensuring that no one is left behind.
