The National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia (SORS).
The document was signed by the Executive Director of Geostat, Mr. Gogita Todradze, and the Director of the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia, Mr. Branko Josipović. The memorandum was concluded in Bishkek, where both parties were attending the international forum “Modernisation of Statistical Business Processes.”
The agreement aims to support the development and enhancement of statistical systems, facilitate the exchange of methodologies and best practices, and promote the sharing of professional expertise. The cooperation will include the planning and implementation of joint projects and programmes, as well as initiatives to build the professional capacity of staff.
The memorandum also envisages strengthened collaboration within the framework of international and bilateral programmes, including the development and delivery of joint or coordinated initiatives.
The agreement between Geostat and the SORS will create new opportunities for the development of collaborative projects. It will further promote knowledge and experience sharing, the exchange of experts, and the organisation of study visits and training activities in a wide range of areas.
