Mr. Gogita Todradze, the Executive Director of the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat), held an introductory meeting with Mr. Andrew Jewell, Resident Representative of the International Monetary Fund in Georgia, and Mr. Holger Floerkemeier, Director of the Caucasus, Central Asia and Mongolia Regional Capacity Development Centre (CCAMTAC).
During the meeting, the parties discussed ongoing and future technical cooperation projects in the areas of macroeconomic statistics, national accounts and price statistics.
Particular attention was given to the importance of updating international statistical methodologies and introducing modern technologies into the statistical production process.
The parties also noted that cooperation with international partners contributes to the development of the statistical system, the improvement of data quality, and alignment with modern international standards.
