The National Statistics Office of Georgia has launched a new interactive portal that brings together statistical data related to prices in Georgia in a single platform, making it even more accessible to the general public.
Through interactive data visualization tools available on the portal, users can independently create their desired analytical picture by filtering, comparing, and downloading the data they need for professional or everyday purposes. The new platform includes in-demand information such as average prices of food products and their dynamics, as well as real estate price statistics and other data.
The presentation was attended by representatives of government institutions and other interested parties. In his speech, the Executive Director of Geostat, Mr. Gogita Todradze noted that the portal will become an important tool for decision-making and economic analysis in the field of prices for government institutions, research organizations, and the general public.
The portal consists of six modules. The Average Prices module displays registered prices of consumer goods and services across the country. The Inflation section presents the Consumer Price Index and long-term price trends. The Consumer Basket module allows users to track the composition of the basket and changes in the structure of household consumption over time. The Producer and Import Prices statistics cover the dynamics of prices for both domestically produced and imported industrial goods. The Unit Value Index of Agricultural Products reflects price dynamics in the agricultural sector. The final module – Construction and Real Estate – includes the construction cost index and statistical data on residential property prices.
Geostat aims to produce and provide high-quality data to the public in a clear and easily accessible format, which facilitates its use and improves planning and decision-making processes at all levels.
