Mr. Gogita Todradze met with the Representative of UNICEF in Georgia, Ms. Isabella Castrogiovanni

The Executive Director of the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat), Mr. Gogita Todradze, held a meeting with the newly appointed Representative of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in Georgia, Ms. Isabella Castrogiovanni.

 

During this introductory meeting, the parties discussed the areas of cooperation between Geostat and UNICEF, as well as opportunities for further developing their partnership. The discussion focused on the importance of high-quality and reliable statistical data in supporting policy planning and effective decision-making in the fields of child welfare, education, health, and social protection.

 

Mr. Todradze congratulated the UNICEF Representative on her appointment and emphasized the importance of the long-standing and productive cooperation with the organization. He noted that Geostat is ready to continue actively collaborating with UNICEF in conducting various statistical surveys in the future.

 

Ms. Isabella Castrogiovanni expressed her gratitude to the leadership of Geostat for the meeting and noted that UNICEF places particular importance on supporting data-driven policymaking. According to her, the organization will continue to work with Geostat to improve the quality and accessibility of data on the situation of children and adolescents.

 

At the end of the meeting, the parties discussed priority areas for future cooperation and reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening their partnership.
