The initial version of the Price Indexation Calculator was launched in 2022 in accordance with the Government of Georgia Resolution No. 753, “On the Approval of the Basis, Principles and Rules for the Application of Price Indexation to Support the Implementation of Infrastructure Projects.”
The development of the updated version of the calculator is connected to the adoption of a new initiative under the Government of Georgia Resolution No. 245, “On the Approval of the Basis, Principles and Rules for the Application of Price Indexation to Support the Implementation of Infrastructure Projects.”
The aim of the calculator is to provide simplified procedures to construction companies benefiting from price indexation, enabling them to obtain a price indexation assessment online. For the amount indexation, the calculator uses the chain-linked Construction Cost Index (CCI), as well as diesel fuel and bitumen price indices. These indices are developed in full compliance with international methodologies and are based on global best practices."
The Construction Cost Index is the average level of prices for construction materials and services required for the construction of various types of buildings and structures during the reference period compared to the base period. The index covers the entire construction sector, including residential and non-residential buildings, as well as civil engineering construction.
