Training for Members of Permanent Interagency Working Group

The National Statistics Office of Georgia held the meeting on quality management issues with the permanent interagency working group. Marie Collin, an expert of Statistics Sweden, presented the international quality standards of official statistics. The expert also discussed the importance of the producers of statistics in the process of developing national statistical system.
The objective of the permanent interagency working group is to support developing the national statistical system and to improve the quality of producing statistics in Georgia. At the previous meetings of the working group were discussed the principles of the European Statistics Code of Practice, the activities conducted by Geostat for improving quality of producing statistics and harmonization with international standards, and other related issues.
