Mr. Gogita Todradze presented the Activity Report of Geostat to the Parliament of Georgia

Mr. Gogita Todradze, Executive Director of Geostat, presented the 2020 Activity Report of the National Statistics Office of Georgia to the Parliament on February 16, 2022.

 

At the plenary session Mr. Gogita Todradze reviewed the main directions of development of the Georgian National Statistical System, important steps taken by Geostat, introduction of the latest international methodologies and standards, innovative products developed by Geostat and the launch of new modern services, which is an important precondition for the production of high quality, objective and reliable official statistics.

 

He highlighted the importance of cooperation with international partners, the fulfillment of the Association Agreement with the European Union and other international obligations in terms of raising the country's rating and image. At the end of the speech, the members of the Parliament and the other attendees were also informed about the future plans of Geostat.

 

The discussion was held in an interactive mode, where Mr. Gogita Todradze answered the questions asked by the members of the Parliament.

 

With the final report, the Parliament positively assessed the activities of Geostat.
