A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between National Statistics Office of Georgia and the National Statistics Office of Mongolia

 

The memorandum was signed by Mr. Gogita Todradze, Executive Director of Geostat, and Mr. Batdavaa Batmunkh, Chairperson of National Statistics Office of Mongolia in New York, in the framework of the 54th session of the UN Statistical Commission, 

 

Bilateral cooperation in the field of statistics includes experience sharing in various directions, such as modernization of official statistics, data management, metadata processing, data dissemination and analysis, as well as sharing of best practices of data quality standards etc. The document defines the strengthening of cooperation in the framework of the development of international and bilateral governmental programs.

 

The memorandum signed between Geostat and the National Statistics Office of Mongolia provides the parties with the opportunity to develop new projects. The document will also contribute to the sharing of experience and knowledge in the field of statistics, the exchange of experts in specific directions, study visits of Mongolian colleagues to Geostat and trainings in various fields.

 

Cooperation between the parties will be carried out in the following way: - exchange of statistical publications, bulletins and other information between the two countries; - Strengthening cooperation within the framework of development of international and bilateral governmental programs.
