On 1 December 2025, an international forum titled “Strengthening Labour Market Information Systems in a Rapidly Changing World” was held in Tbilisi at the Hilton Garden Inn. The event was organised by the National Statistics Office of Georgia (GEOSTAT) in cooperation with the Asian Development Bank (ADB). The participants were welcomed by Paata Shavishvili, Deputy Executive Director of GEOSTAT.
The forum aimed to bring together representatives of national statistical offices, international organisations, government agencies and other stakeholders to discuss the development of modern labour market information systems, as well as to review the findings of a survey on job-related skills conducted in partnership with the Asian Development Bank.
Discussions also focused on the use of innovative technologies and contemporary strategies designed to enhance labour market information systems.
The event was held in a panel discussion format and was attended by representatives from GEOSTAT, relevant government bodies and international organisations.
